Re: Vision Board!!!
I am in the process of making a Visionboard right now - however I never heard of that idea somewhere else before.
One day not too long ago it just occurred to me, that pinning up pictures of my desired goals would be much more efficient than just daydreaming or visualizing them in order to motivate me. I guess its partly laziness - because looking at a board seems so much easier than actually getting your fantasy going every day in order to set up the motivational carrots in front of your inner eye. (Do I detect a certain pattern here that reminds me of pornography No it must be my wicked imagination...
Funnily enough I called it a "Visionboard" myself when people asked me about it. It seems to be sort of an intuitive description/name. It might be possible that I heard it somewhere else before and just forgot about it on a conscious level... Still I sorta doubt that - so here's to a funny coincidence!
I actually intend to upgrade it to a poster instead of an actual "board" - I experimented with that before and while it's alright I don't feel like it squeezes out the full potential of this idea.
You might consider making a full-sized poster with big, bright and nicely arranged pictures instead of just pinning up smaller-scaled photos to a cork-board. There are hundreds of poster-sites on the internet where you can upload your pictures and in a matter of days they will be printed and sent right to your doorstep.
The downside would obviously be that you can't change individual motives - so if you decide to make it a poster you'd better make it a good one.
Still I'd recommend it since bigger, brighter and more colorful pictures work surely better in motivating you consciously and unconsciously - it's the same as with visualization.
