Re: contradiction by Napolean Hill??
After reading T&GR for the first time, like most of us, he too did not believe that anyone can achieve success like Henry Ford or Rockefeller or Edison. Of course, these are some of the most successful people of mankind history and it is nearly impossible for an average joe to believe that we all are essentially the same and can achieve whatever goal we set out sight to.
So he researched the life of Ford and Edison and few others and found that almost every one of them had been from a really poor background and indeed they all achieved their success by the principles described in T&GR.
So around in 1960s, Proctor set a goal for himself to have 25,000 in a decade. At that time, he was earning 4000$ / year and owed 6000. and so he didn't believe that he would get 25000 in the next decade. But after faithfully following the Hill's advise of six steps, automatically his mind and brain started becoming more aware about money earning opportunities. Prior to that, he always focused his entire life on getting out of debt but never set a goal for himself. But all of a sudden, he found this new energy within himself and for the first time in his life, his mind started looking for more money.
Somewhere, he overheard that there was good money into office cleaning business and while in the past, he had ignored this kind of talks or ideas but this time, this idea got stuck into his mind and as hill said that mind would give you an idea but you must act on the idea regardless of whether you are ready or not and so did Proctor. He jumped into office cleaning business by himself.
Before that, he was working as a fireman for 4000 $ but one year later his income was 175,000 $ and few years later he took his income to over 1 million with multiple offices around US, canada and london.
And i think, that's what law of attraction is and the six steps of T&GR mean. You may or may not know the plan but as long as you decide upon a definite purpose and completely focus on your chief aim and believe in it. Plan will show up and then you must act upon the idea.
I can say with 100% conviction because i have found my chief aim by following hill's advised and am on my way to achieving those goals.
Hope this helps..
