Borodin – Sheherazade
Published by Adesso Verlag. 2003 and translated by Bill Palmer. This hardback book of 312 pages is in excellent condition. 's your chance to own this out of print, very rare and highly valued book.
This is not just a book of magic and mental effects; it is theater with integrated stories. This book contains routines which are dressed up in artistic presentations that turns them into exciting miracles which captivate and please the eye and ear of the audience.
Real magic takes place in the mind of the audience, and this book shows how to perform magic that goes beyond what we see. The book has three parts: the first is called, "Once Upon a Time..." with stories that have a fairy tale theme; the second section is "Midnight Stories" which are stories dealing with burning, hanging, Russian roulette, witchcraft, etc. - the finest example of bizarre magick; and the third is, "Mental Mysteries" which shows how to keep this field from being the same boring presentations. A total of 32 audience tested routines.
Punx considered Borodin his "Master Student". Ted Lesley considered Borodin to "...one of the most clever and ingenious performers in German magic."
Banacheck said, "Even if this was not a magic book, the stories would make the book well worth the purchase. They delight, enthrall, frame and set up the incredible magic that takes place. This book has made me a fan of Borodin." Richard Osterlind said, "I have told Ted a few times how I want to move in a new direction with my work especially since my new videos contain just about everything I have ever created. The Borodin book has given me inspiration and I am already creating a new routine based on the material."
